Together we talk about the next trip to Thailand.
Tom wants to be back in the Netherlands before the warm period in Thailand, March and April. During our previous trip in early 2022, we suffered from the heat from mid-February. And we think about six weeks in Thailand is long enough. Then Tom can also make use of the 45-day visa exemption that applies to 2023.
Because we have already looked at ticket prices, we want to leave before mid-December because then the high season starts with sky-high ticket prices.

Tom sends an email to our regular travel agency https://www.qatarairways.com/ asking what is possible and what it should all cost. We don't find a stopover or transfer a problem. We do want to be able to reserve seats and take about 30 kg of hold luggage per person.

On Thursday, September 29, we receive an answer from Nethai. The proposal is based on the period December 6, 2022 to January 21, 2022.
We are a bit shocked, almost €1000 per person, and only 25 kg of hold luggage on the return flight. This is the cheapest option with Qatar Airways with transfers in Doha. And no reserved seats.
Pia texts with Nethai and asks for the price of EVA Air. If we read the answer, it is more expensive, € 1215 per person. This does include reserved seats and 2 suitcases of 23 kg per person. And it's a direct flight.
We first go for a walk in the Mheenpark to be able to think quietly. While walking we come to the decision not to fly back on January 21, but a little later, at the beginning of February. In that case, Tom must either apply for a visa or go to one of Thailand's neighboring countries. But that's not a problem for us.
We inform Nethai that we want to fly back on February 2 or 4. At Eva Air we have already seen that it is a bit cheaper.

Soon we get another offer from Nethai, with the return flight on February 4, the price is €1125 per person. This offer is valid until October 3.
We agree to this proposal, and early in the afternoon we receive the bill. We pay immediately and in the evening around 11 o'clock we receive an email containing, among other things, two e-tickets.
